Rosa ‘Lorenzo Pahissa’

Description:

Bred by Lorenzo Pahissa (1890-1940) of Spain, posthumously winning a Gold Medal at Bagatelle in 1941. It is a large flowered hybrid tea, coral-pink to light apricot in colour with moderate fragrance. Kept in cultivation in the UK by three generations of the Leatherland family, beginning with Frederick William Leatherland, Head Gardener to the Earl and Countess of Albemarle. It is also recorded as being grown by Lady Labouchere of Dudmaston Hall on her return from Madrid in 1966.
