Synonym: Iris ‘Glas Y Dorlan’

Description:

A cross between 'Harpswell Happiness' × 'Dear Dianne' raised by Harry Foster, Crickhowell, registered 1993, one of around 25 Siberian iris bred by Harry between 1986 and 1992. Dark violet blue (RHS 96A) standards; light blue shading to orchid, heavily feathered, style arms; Dark violet blue falls are edged silver, with a kingfisher blue flash from signal over most of falls. Lightly ruffled white and gold signal. Late midseason to very late when in bloom. Name is Welsh for kingfisher.
